For our 8-week final project of the second year, we partnered with Tweeduster, a cultural initiative focused on keeping Twents folklore alive through digital experiences. From the three client options provided by CMGT, our group chose Tweeduster for its unique blend of heritage and creativity.
Our team developed Fortune, a folklore-inspired game based on the eerie tale of Old Minneke, a witch who lured unsuspecting farm boys to her home with promises of gold.
In this project, I was primarily responsible for sound design, creating the main soundtrack and voiceovers to bring the story's dark atmosphere to life. I also stepped more confidently into coding, contributing significantly to the game's development. In past projects, I often hesitated to touch the code, afraid I might break something. This time, however, the process went smoothly, and I gained a lot of confidence in my technical skills.
This project was not only creatively rewarding but also a turning point in my growth as a developer.
